Although in 2018 she officially ended her career in professional sport, her athletic soul has not retired. We will see her during the half marathon in Poznan on April 5. It is worth noting that this will be her third run in Poznan. She debuted in the Poznan half-marathon in 2017, and took part in the event in 2018.
This year she will run with her daughter Lenka, but she admits: “Doubles are always the best, in the end this is my crown competition :)”.
The Olympian started her adventure with running many years ago. In an interview she admitted: “... I was rather a long-distance runner and I took part in cross-country races and longer street runs. I have a few medals on my shelf at home from such runs. To this day, I like running and I think that if I didn't do rowing, who knows, maybe I'd go in that direction...”
The start list of the 13th PKO Poznan Half-Marathon already includes nearly 5,000 participants. Until February 20, a lower entry fee applies. Sign up today!
